About Jonesin To Make

At Jonesin To Make we are passionate about making things. No matter if it something as simple as a quick handle or as finished and refined as a dinner table we prefer to spend our time to make sure the project comes out right and to meet the user’s needs. While we like our projects to look nice we really want them to hold up to their intended use and function well.

When it comes to our handyman, or as we prefer home repair, side we want to make sure the job is done quickly but most importantly that the work is done correctly, done well, and will last a long time. We care about our client’s homes and want to make sure the repair or addition is going to add to the home and serve the client’s needs.

Lastly with our class side we can come to your location and teach a class or set of classes on introductory wood working. These are designed to be easy for complete beginners but also be fun for more experienced students. The class can be for an individual or for small groups and the projects range from small 2 hour projects to projects that may take two or three sessions with homework. If you have a wood working project in mind and want to learn to make it feel free to fill out the webform to send us an email and we can see if it is something we can help with teaching your to make!

The People Behind Jonesin To Make

Jonesin To Make comes as a continuation of our main craftsman’s, Tim’s, love of making things and his passion to inspire others to make things. Tim learned to make things early on in life as he spent time in his father’s wood shop in the basement of their home. His father taught him to work on vehicles, framing, carpentry, roofing and many other tangible skills. His mother taught him to sew, crafts, and one of the biggest skills; to stop and design the item before hand. Both his Grandfather Dan and Grandmother Joyce also contributed to his teachings in the creation of items as well.

The biggest all of these very important people taught him though was about creating a family. Tim married his wonderful and patient wife Kim who helps him make things, and is a major sounding board and design help. Without her a lot of what Tim makes would not look anywhere near as nice. The joints and such would look good still but unless you like 14-15th century styling it wouldn’t be all that appealing. Through their kids he has also learned more patience and how to be a better teacher when teaching to make items.

Let’s build something together.
